Dr. Fernando Liesa is Secretary General at ALICE, Alliance for Logistics Innovation through Collaboration in Europe (www.etp-alice.eu) since its creation in 2013. Fernando is driving the development and growth of ALICE that currently spans 210+ members and a team of 25+ professionals. ALICE defines the medium-long term vision for logistics, including decarbonization, scarcity, digitalization, and automation as core drivers towards the future. In short, ALICE defines the vision, way forward and create the framework to reach to it with its members and stakeholders.

Fernando holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering by University of Zaragoza and has 25+ years of experience in research, knowledge management and management of triple helix organizations and associations.

Fernando has worked for more than 20 years linked to the European Arena and Institutions. Fernando was appointed member of DGMOVE expert group on Cooperative, Connected, Automated and Autonomous Mobility launched in 2019. Fernando was part of the drafting team of the Horizon Europe Partnership on Connected, Cooperative and Autonomous Mobility (CCAM). Fernando is proud to have been awarded with the Physical Internet pioneer award in 2017.

Monika is also a leading expert for creating communities in urban development areas and reactivating town centres
in rural areas. Therefore she is able to build connections between the world of energy and real estate, leading to exciting wholesome developments of sustainable living quarters.

Maiken Blaabjerg Hansen is Senior Manager, Datacenter Product Portfolio at Danfoss, contributing to the development of advanced liquid cooling solutions for hyperscale data centers, including valve train systems and smart flow control technologies. With more than 20 years of experience in hydronics and an engineering background, she specializes in energy-efficient flow control, thermal management, and system integration across HVAC and data center applications. Maiken is passionate about driving innovation through collaboration with global partners and diverse teams to advance to advance sustainable liquid cooling and flow control solutions.

Jan Bohinec is the Director of Trading at GEN-I and one of the leading voices on the future of energy markets in the region. With many years of experience as an energy market analyst and electricity trading expert, he combines an in-depth understanding of European energy markets with data analytics and the strategic management of trading portfolios. He actively contributes to the development of advanced trading models and provides valuable insights into the price dynamics, risks and opportunities shaping the energy transition and the energy markets of the future.

Vitomir Panič is the Director of B2B Sales at GEN-I, where he has been helping companies navigate energy-related challenges in a rapidly evolving market environment for nearly two decades. He specializes in electricity and natural gas procurement strategies, price risk management, and the development of comprehensive energy solutions for industrial and business customers.

In his work, he combines a deep understanding of energy markets, data-driven analytics, and extensive practical experience in implementing advanced energy solutions. His focus is on helping organizations improve cost efficiency, ensure security of supply, and accelerate their transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable future.

Aleš Glavina is Director of the Digital Platform Business Unit in Iskraemeco with over 18 years of experience in the energy sector. He holds a degree in Computer Science and started his career as a software developer, working on device configuration tools, system software for remote data reading, and full AMI systems. Today, his focus is on the future of digital energy platforms — especially how analytics and digital twin solutions can unlock real value from the vast amounts of data collected across electricity grids.

Prof. Robert Dominko is a Research Professor at the National Institute of Chemistry and a Professor at the University of Ljubljana. At the National Institute of Chemistry, he leads the Battery Research Group and the Center for Carbon-Free Technologies, a new infrastructure unit of the Institute located in Zasavje. His research focuses on materials science and electrochemical energy storage systems, with a particular emphasis on advanced battery technologies. His current research interests include multivalent battery systems, the integration of smart functionalities into battery cells, and battery cell engineering. Prof. Dominko is actively involved in European battery initiatives and is a key contributor to the Battery 2030+ initiative. His bibliography comprises more than 230 publications and 15 patents. He is also a member of the Slovenian Academy of Engineering.

Mag. Gorazd Ažman is a strategic advisor for innovation and digital transformation. He believes that the future of the energy sector will not be defined solely by digital twins and artificial intelligence, but by the people who are able to manage and apply these technologies in meaningful ways. For more than a decade, he has combined his deep expertise in the energy industry with hands-on work in personal and organizational transformation, helping individuals and teams unlock their full potential.

As a mentor and advisor, he supports leaders and organizations in bridging the gap between traditional systems and the need for a more agile, collaborative, and people-centered culture. He believes that true transformation begins with self-leadership and that individuals achieve their greatest potential within connected and empowered communities. Dr. Peter Ahčin is co-founder and CTO of OASIX Energy, where he leads the development of thermal energy storage and control solutions for data centers and buildings.

He holds degrees in economics and electrical engineering from the University of Ljubljana and a PhD in electrical engineering from ETH Zurich.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading research organizations, including the Austrian Institute of Technology and SINTEF in Norway, and has worked as a consultant in energy systems planning, software development, and digitalization.

He is also the co-founder of Aliro Immigration, a Canadian technology platform that uses digital tools to simplify and streamline the immigration and visa process.

As a member of the Strategic Innovation Department at ELES, Dr Janez Humar works on the integration of new technologies and the interconnection of the electricity and transport sectors. His key activities focus on the strategy, planning and deployment of the charging infrastructure required to support sustainable road mobility.

He is also involved in the preparation and implementation of projects related to the integration of renewable energy sources, energy storage, e-mobility and the associated flexibility mechanisms that support the operation of transmission and distribution networks.

Robert Sever holds a Master’s degree in Management and is Director of the Transport Association at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. Under his leadership, the Transport Association has developed into a leading and internationally recognised professional association in the field of transport and logistics, bringing together more than 500 transport and logistics companies in Slovenia.

Throughout his career of more than 25 years, he has been actively involved in numerous professional training programmes, advisory activities and development projects in the fields of transport, logistics and supply chains. He is the author and co-author of several professional publications and articles aimed at supporting the development and improvement of the transport and logistics sector.

He is a member of the Programme Council of the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor. He regularly appears as a speaker and moderator at national and international conferences, professional forums and seminars covering transport, logistics and mobility.

He joined GEN-I, d.o.o. upon its establishment in 2004. He laid the foundations for the company’s business model for international and cross-border electricity trading and further developed it in the years that followed. From 2005 to 2021, he served three terms as a Member of the Management Board responsible for trading, finance and legal affairs within the GEN-I Group. In 2018, he earned an MBA from the prestigious University of Chicago Booth School of Business, further expanding his expertise in management, finance and capital markets. From February 2022 to February 2023, he served as President of the Management Board of GEN-I. During this period, he also held directorship positions in several GEN-I Group subsidiaries abroad.

Žiga Pižorn is the Director of Energy Sales and Solutions at Petrol Group. In 2014, he obtained a master’s degree in sustainable energy engineering from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. At Petrol, he initially worked as an engineer and head of sales project development, where he was responsible for the development of energy renovations and management, as well as solar power plants. He later took over the management of energy sales and solutions in the B2B and B2G customer segment for the entire SE region.

Damjan Hajšek is Head of IT and the Network Operations Centre at Termo Shop, where he has led the company’s digital transformation and the development of advanced B2B energy solutions over the past three years. He combines more than 15 years of experience in managing complex IT environments and ITSM processes based on ITIL principles with expertise in artificial intelligence governance, automation and data-driven decision-making.

He oversees the development of Termo Shop’s Network Operations Centre and digital solutions that connect energy systems, data and operational management. In 2025, he led the development of the TermoPlus iQ smart heat pump, which received the Silver Innovation Award from the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Celje.

In recent years, his work has focused on technologies and solutions supporting the green transition, with large-scale battery energy storage systems standing out as a key area of expertise. He also has extensive experience in other areas of electrical power supply, particularly in industrial environments and other systems where high availability and reliability of electricity supply are essential.

Dr. Anamarija Borštnik Bračić, MBA, Founder and Director of the Energy Division at GP Systems, holds a PhD in Physics and an MSc in Management and Organisation. Early in her career, she taught physics at the University of Ljubljana, most recently as an assistant professor of physics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. At GP Systems, she focuses her activities on the development, production and commissioning of cogeneration plants for electricity and heat from green and sustainable fuels such as wood residues, waste wood, sludge and hazardous waste. GP Systems builds plants in Slovenia as well as in other EU and Balkan countries.

Emir Mujagić holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialisation in Energy and serves as Project and Business Development Manager at SunContract. He is currently leading the development and implementation of the Electricity Sharing Marketplace, which connects electricity producers and consumers and creates new opportunities for local electricity sharing.

Previously, he managed projects in the areas of ancillary services, flexibility management, and battery energy storage systems, and he remains actively involved in these fields today. His work focuses on developing solutions that enable end users to play a more active role in the power system.

Tadej Justin is a Chief Data Scientist at the Slovenian software development company Medius d.o.o., holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on automation, artificial intelligence systems, and pattern recognition.

He is a Certified Kubernetes Administrator and an advocate of the DevOps approach, with particular expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery. He applies this knowledge to support the validation and inference of predictive models, as well as the development and deployment of other AI-driven software solutions.

Blaž Dobravec is the co-founder and CEO of CENTRA Energy, an energy technology company developing solutions for planning investments in solar power plants and battery storage, real-time management of energy resources, and energy community management.

Until recently, he worked at Elektro Gorenjska as a research data scientist and team lead, focusing on research and development in the power sector. He is a member of the World Energy Council’s (WEC) Future Energy Leaders programme and a PhD candidate researching explainable artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on control systems.

He previously held roles at Tesla Motors Europe, Heliox Automotive, Royal HaskoningDHV, Allego and Alliander, where he worked on business development, product development and implementation projects in electric mobility. Today, he leads projects focused on heavy-duty charging hubs, battery systems and collective charging infrastructure in the Netherlands.

His work spans the full journey from identifying AI use cases worth investing in to implementation and handover, ensuring that clients can ultimately own and operate the solutions themselves. Together with his team, he developed the AI Program Framework, a nine-component model designed to help companies achieve concrete business objectives with AI.
